"Baobears" is a closed species and art-roleplaying game (ARPG) featuring bears with dumpling-like features.I created baobears in 2019, inspired by my love of food and bears! As someone of asian heritage, I wanted to create something that showcased elements of my culture in a fun, cute, and accessible way.Players can participate in 'prompts' to earn in-game currency, items, pets, trophies, and so on. Events are held every few months and can feature mini-games (ex. click-and-point adventures).Visit our site at baobears.com!
Baobears has yearly fundraisers for select charities & organizations. Past donations include:
2024 - $418 to Pride Foundation AUS, $300 to Palestine Children's Relief Fund, $250 to ANERA
2023 - $483 to Amazon Watch, $380 to AMCS, $182 to Give Out Day, $200 to Orphaned Wildlife
2022 - $1500 to AMCS, $175 to aliforneycenter, $360 to Orphaned Wildlife
2021 - $620 for the Australian Marine Conservation Society (AMCS)
2020 - $1035 for The House of GG, The Okra Project, The Bail Project, and Black Table Arts
2019 - $120 to help thirsty koalas devastated during the Australian bushfires
In 2022, I hosted and published "ZODIAC: Born Resembling", a collaborative project featuring 12 artists, one for each animal of the Lunar Zodiac. Each illustration was accompanied by a short blurb, as pictured to the right.
